Hi, I’m Amanda Muro
I am an EMT, certified CPR/BLS Instructor, and pre-med student with a passion for both human and animal health. As a child, my dream profession was one as a physician. The first step to that goal was to become an EMT. My experience there has inspired me to teach others—because emergencies don’t wait for professionals to arrive.
At FirstResponse, I provide high-quality CPR, BLS, and First Aid training designed to give you the skills and confidence to act when it matters most. In addition to human-focused courses, I also offer Animal CPR and First Aid—because pets are family too, and knowing how to respond in an emergency can make all the difference.
With my combined background in emergency medicine and ongoing studies in healthcare, I bring both expertise and a personal touch to every class. My goal isn’t just to certify you—it’s to prepare you with the knowledge and hands-on experience to truly save lives.
When I’m not working, studying, or teaching, I enjoy hiking and spending time with my three dogs, cockatiel, and bearded dragon. But no matter what, my mission remains the same: helping people and communities feel empowered to respond in any emergency, human or animal.
To help create a community where anyone, anywhere, can step forward and save a life.
To deliver accessible, engaging, and life-saving CPR, AED, and First Aid training for people of all backgrounds — including specialized care for animals.
Trained over 1,500 students and counting — from daycare centers to ER professionals — with a 98% satisfaction rate.
